The Bachelor of Social Work is the first overseas social work degree in Singapore and was launched as a manpower initiative to build capabilities in the social service sector. Centre for Developmental Disability Studies, affiliated to the University of Sydney, Australia
The Diploma in Disability Studies was developed as a joint initiative between SSTI, and the Centre for Developmental Disability Studies (CDDS), an affiliate to the Faculty of Medicine, University of Sydney, Australia. CDDS was established jointly by University of Sydney, Macquarie University, The Spastic Centre of NSW and the Australian Departments of Health. Through these links, CDDS has both a sound research base as well as direct application to the fast changing and complex disability field.

The School of Education at Flinders University, aims to be at the forefront of knowledge creation about education through its teaching, research and professional activities.
