The objective of the study award is to support individuals who have the passion to make a difference to the community and want to pursue an education in the field of social services. The study award will defray the cost of training they require and enable them to acquire the necessary knowledge to contribute to the needs of the society.
Successful applicants can receive up to S$5,000* towards payment to their course of study.
The Study Award is applicable for the following areas of study in SSTI
- Bachelor of Social Work
- Bachelor of Education (Special Education)
The study award aims to provide financial assistance to persons
- who are intending to pursue a career in the social service sector
- who are intending to pursue an education through training in SSTI
Successful applicants can receive a one time award of up to S$5,000. Applicants will need to reapply if they would like to receive the award in subsequent years. However, this is subjected to performance, quality of other applicants and other factors. No applicant shall be given the award more than twice.
Eligibility :
To be eligible for the grant, the applicant must:
- Be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Should not be recipients of another scholarship, study awards or grant at the time of application
- Must declare information of any other scholarships, study awards or grant that was awarded after the time of application
