• Provides theoretical knowledge and practicum experience to teach students of various disabilities types

• Provides an option for those who have completed National Institute of Education (NIE) - Diploma in Special Education (DISE) and desire to upgrade their qualifications to a degree level.
Teaching Methods and Assessment
A wide variety of teaching methods are used in this course. These include lectures by Flinders University staff and tutorials by local tutors, small group discussions and experiential learning where students are given an opportunity to develop and practise skills acquired from the course. Students are also required to complete observations, conduct case studies and implement curriculum designs as a requirement for assessment.

• Act professionally and work collaboratively with parents and other professionals
