The Monash Bachelor of Social Work programme is the only overseas degree in social work offered locally in Singapore. It is specially designed for those who wish to seek professional training and qualification for a career in social service.
Accreditation / Recognition
The Bachelor in Social Work (BSW) is approved and accredited by the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW) and Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Apart from practice in Singapore, graduates will be eligible to practice in Australia, United Kingdom and in many other countries.
Enhanced Flexible Learning
The BSW is offered through a method of enhanced flexible learning. Students will be offered workshops in Singapore in each subject by Australian academic staff. This will be supplemented by regular tutorials conducted by fully qualified staff employed by SSTI. In addition, students are provided with detailed course books, readings, on-line instruction and exercises. Classes are conducted in the evenings and/or weekends.
