• Explain the counselling process and identify basic practice skills
  
  
• Practise groupwork facilitation skills
  
  
• List the major legal provisions in the social service sector
  
  
• Apply skills in planning, organising and evaluating programmes
  
  
• Establish strategies to work with different clientele groups (volunteers, children, youth, families, elderly and people with disabilities)

9:30am - 4:30pm (Saturday)

DSS102 & DSS105:
7:00pm - 10:00pm (Weekdays)

DSS103:
7:00pm - 9:30pm (Weekdays)

DSS104, DSS106 - DSS110:
7:00pm - 9:00pm (Weekdays)

(3 times a week per trimester)

• Discuss the relationship between human behaviour and the social environment
  
  
• Acquire more skills in handling individuals, families and groups
  
  
• Define and understand abnormal psychology
  
  
• Discuss case management process
  
  
• Discuss the current social issues in Singapore
