(Ret) Kwek Siew Jin |

RADM (Ret) Kwek Siew
Jin is currently
the President of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), a post
he has held since August 2006. RADM Kwek was appointed to the NCSS
Board in 2004, where he served as Vice-President of the Board and
Vice-Chairman of the Services Committee. He has been an
active
volunteer in the social service sector since his retirement as Chief of
the Republic of Singapore Navy in June 1996. Among various
other
portfolios, he has served as Chairman of the Students Care Service (a
voluntary welfare organisation) from 1999 to 2006, and Chairman of the
National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre from 2005 to 2007.
He
was also the President of the Singapore Dragon Boat Association, a post
he held from 1998 till 2009. Currently, RADM Kwek also serves as a
board member of the Community Foundation of Singapore and the Charity
Council. For his contributions as Chairman of the Students
Care
Service from 1999 to 2006, RADM Kwek was awarded the Public Service
Medal (PBM) for social service under the National Day Awards of 2006. |
| Ms Ang Bee
Lian |

Ms
Ang Bee Lian is the Chief Executive
Officer of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS) since joining
it in June 2007. Ms Ang is a trained social worker and has a
MSc
in Social Policy & Planning from the London School of Economics
and
Political Science. She has 30 years of valuable experience in the
Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, developing
policies and implementing programmes in the social service
sector. She has held senior management appointments in MCYS
for
over
15 years. As Director of Rehabilitation, Protection and
Residential Services, and Director of Social Sector Planning Unit at
MCYS prior to joining NCSS, she led a team in bringing statutory social
work services to a higher level of professionalism and with wider
community involvement and participation. Ms Ang was awarded the
Outstanding Social Worker Award in 2000 and the Public Administration
Medal (Silver) in 2002. In 2003, she was among 12 winners of the Leader
Mentor’s awards given out as part of the Global Leadership
and
Mentoring Congress in Singapore.

Matthias Yao Chih |

|
Mr Matthias Yao is
currently the Mayor of South East District. He is also a
Deputy Speaker of Parliament and the Member of Parliament for
MacPherson. Mr Yao attended St Joseph's Institution and
National Junior College. He was awarded an Overseas Merit
Scholarship and studied at the University of Birmingham, UK.
He graduated in 1978 with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree,
majoring in management economics. Upon his return, Mr Yao completed
full-time National Service, and joined the Civil Service as an
Administrative Officer. Between 1980 and 1988, he worked in
postings at four different Ministries. Mr Yao was elected
Member of Parliament in 1991. Between 1991 and 2004, he held
posts of Parliamentary Secretary (Ministry of Defence), Senior
Parliamentary Secretary (Ministry of Defence and Ministry of National
Development), Minister of State (Ministry of Defence), and Senior
Minister of State (Prime Minister’s Office).

| Dr Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman |

Dr Mohamad Maliki
Osman graduated
with his Bachelor and Masters degrees from the National University of
Singapore. He obtained his doctorate in Social Work from the University
of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1998 and became an Assistant
Professor at the NUS Department of Social Work and Psychology that
year. Dr Maliki is currently
the Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of National Development.
He served as Parliamentary
Secretary for the Ministry of Community
Development Youth and Sports from August 2004 to June 2006 and the
Ministry of Health from August 2004 to October 2005. At the community
level, Dr Maliki is Advisor to the Centre for Promoting Alternative to
Violence and ADAM (Active Devoted Able family Men) Association. He
chairs the Family Development Network of the Malay/ Muslim Community
Leaders’ Forum. |

Mr
Gerard Ee
|

Mr
Gerard Ee has been active in the field of social service throughout his
professional life
as an accountant. He helped convert a programme providing respite care
into the
Assisi Home and Hospice in 1987 and was its Chairman until 2002. In
1989, Mr Ee
established Bizlink Centre, an employment programme for people with
disabilities, and was its Chairman until 1992. He has also chaired a
wide range of social service organisations and programmes which include
juvenile rehabilitative centres, grassroots organisations, schools, and
various programmes for the elderly and youth. He was also an active
member of the Task Force which established the Code on Religious
Harmony. He was formerly the President of the National Council of
Social Service. He is currently the Chairman of the Medifund Advisory
Council and a member of the National Medical Ethics Committee. As a
Justice of the Peace, he visits the prisons and conducts criminal
procedure mediation sessions. He was officially appointed as the
Chairman of the National Kidney Foundation on July 17, 2005 and is also
the Chairman of the Council for Third Age.

| Mr Stanley Tan |

Mr
Stanley Tan is the
Chairman of the National Volunteer and
Philanthropy Centre and Chairman of The Community Foundation of
Singapore. He is also the Vice President of Beyond Social Services, an
organisation dedicated to helping children and youths-at-risk to get
out of poverty and delinquency. Separately, he is Vice-President of
MILK (Mainly I Love Kids) Fund and a member of the Charity Council. He
is also actively involved in community work in many regional countries.
He is currently a board member of the Alola Foundation, East Timor. On
the corporate front, Stanley founded Magazines Incorporated in 1978,
which became the largest media representation house in South East Asia
and among the largest lifestyle magazines publisher in Singapore. |

Peter Ong |
 |
Mr
Peter Ong is Managing Partner for Gallup in Singapore, Hong Kong, and
South-East
Asia. Other than Singapore and Hong Kong, Peter runs Gallup’s
businesses in Malaysia,
Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. He works with
clients to boost
their productivity and bottom line by maximising the engagement of
their businesses’ employees
and customers. Peter helps CEOs and their leadership teams
align/re-align organisational structures, management teams, and
workforces to meet business demands, as well as growth
and succession-planning needs. He has worked with local, regional, and
global institutions in various industries, especially in the financial
services and government sectors. He is very
familiar and comfortable with designing and leading organisational
transformation programmes. He has also led many Behavioral Economics
type projects with both public and private sector organisations.
